2010: it all started with a charity football match where only able-bodied people played. “Everything is normal,’ we said, ‘but what is the role of people with disabilities? Are they only watchers?”
2011: Giochi Senza Barriere (Games Without Barriers) is born.
An event that aims to break down people’s physical and psychological barriers, under the banner of integration between the Olympic and Paralympic worlds.
8 teams, made up of able-bodied and disabled players from all over Italy and abroad, compete for victory through spectacular and entertaining games.
The enormous potential of people with disabilities is demonstrated to a large audience!
2022: Giochi Senza Barriere becomes WEmbrace Games!
